My Treatment Philosophy.

My treatment philosophy for queer, trans, and kinky clients is deeply rooted in my commitment to decolonizing mental health and addressing the effects of minority stress on these communities. I am dedicated to fostering a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship and believe in challenging the dominant narratives and power structures that have historically pathologized and marginalized these identities and communities, leading to increased rates of depression, anxiety, and other forms of social distress.

Central to my approach is the understanding that your experiences, desires, and identities are valid and deserving of respect. I aim to create a non-judgmental and inclusive environment where you can explore and embrace your authentic self. Rather than imposing external norms and expectations, I prioritize your self-determination and autonomy, recognizing that you are the expert of your own lived experience.

In decolonizing mental health, I actively work to dismantle the oppressive frameworks that have perpetuated the stigmatization and pathologization of queer, trans, and kinky individuals. I strive to challenge and disrupt these harmful narratives, embracing intersectionality and recognizing the ways in which systems of power and privilege intersect with mental health experiences. Through this lens, I aim to address the unique challenges you may face, while honoring the strengths and resiliency that come with navigating these identities.

Ultimately, my treatment philosophy for queer, trans, and kinky clients is rooted in a commitment to social justice, equity, and liberation. I seek to create a space where you can heal, grow, and thrive, while addressing the impact of minority stress and challenging the systems and ideologies that perpetuate harm. Together, we will work towards reclaiming and celebrating your authentic self, as we pave the way for a more inclusive and decolonized future in mental health.
